Pupil Voice
At Gee Cross Holy Trinity we truly value the thoughts and opinions of all of the children and there are a number of ways in which children can contribute to make our school the best it can be. These include:
The School Council
Our School Council comprises of two pupils from every class, one girl and one boy, from Year 1 to Year 6. The counsellors are elected by their classmates, with elections taking place at the start of every year. The school council work together to address and support issues that are important to our pupils, both locally, nationally or globally. They have been very successful in making improvements to our school, our local community and fundraising for national and international charities. Children play an important part in developing the Outdoor Play and Learning project (OPAL) by sharing their views, reflections and feedback.
Ethos Group
Our Ethos Group is made up of pupils who meet on a regular basis with the headteacher, to help plan assemblies and collective worship. They often take a lead role in our collective worship by acting, reading, selecting a praise worship song, and leading prayer.
Choir
Children have opportunites to participate in a variety of singing experiences both in school and across Manchester and Tameside. Children took part in a religious 'Festival Manchester' in the summer. Young Voices Choir perform in Manchester. Children come together to celebrate in services both in school, in church, and at Chester Catherdral for the Year 6 Leavers Service.
